Crux Cards

Onboarding

This game is designed to build understanding of the decisions needed when onboarding customers.

The day to day choice on whether (or not) to accept a customer is one full of nuance. Often explaining why a particular decision has been made is one of ‘it depends’.

Our onboarding card game is designed to help both compliance teams and the first line explore these decisions and to discuss the choices made.

Who the game is for

We can play this game in three different modes.

Compliance team exploration

If you have a compliance team of more than a few people, you may well have situations where different members of the team have different views on how the firm’s policies should be applied.

Don’t worry as the CRUX Onboarding game is designed for this.

Just look at the scenarios we have developed and find the ones which cover the situations you want to explore. If our current database does not quite cover your specific issues, don’t worry. Our team will work with you to develop bespoke scenarios so you robustly explore the issues.

Compliance team led discussions

If you want to build relationships within the business as well as develop a better understanding on onboarding decisions, then this gameplay format is for you.

The sessions are run with a member of your team in each group to maximise the conversations. Your team can talk about the why behind certain decisions and the first line can highlight their day to day experiences.

First line gameplay

Are you looking to ensure that everyone in the firm has a good understanding of onboarding decisions and how your policies and procedures work? Then a first line gameplay is for you.

In this mode, we run the session with any members of the firm you want to include. This time the game is played with jeopardy - there are points at stake for answers!

So next time you have a firm wide meeting, why not put some time aside for a fun session where you can build expertise at the same time.

The gameplay

The game consists of a number of rounds exploring specific customer onboarding scenarios.

These scenarios can be tailored for the firm.

Duration

A standard session last for 90 minutes to allow time for an introduction to the game and an debrief.

Extra rounds can be added to extend the time if desired but we would advise keeping the session below 2 hours.
